It seems somewhat ironic that the Commission and the Council Presidency are urging the European Parliament to give its position by the end of 2007 (an extremely short timetable given the delays in submitting and presenting the proposal) when neither the Commission nor the Council appear to see the conclusion of an agreement on this dossier and the nomination of a Director as a priority of paramount importance.
Il semble quelque peu ironique que la Commission et la présidence du Conseil pressent le Parlement européen de donner son avis à la fin de 2007 (un délai extrêmement court, eu égard au retard pris dans la soumission et la présentation de la proposition), alors que ni la Commission ni le Conseil ne paraissent considérer la conclusion d'un accord sur ce dossier et la nomination d'un directeur comme une priorité majeure.
