Definition: This category differs from others in that it includes disorders identifiable on the basis of not only symptoms and course but also the existence of one or other of two causative influences: an exceptionally stressful life event producing an acute stress reaction, or a significant life change leading to continued unpleasant circumstances that result in an adjustment disorder. Although less severe psychosocial stress ( life events ) may precipitate the onset or contribute to the presentation of a very wide range of disorders classified elsewhere in this chapter, its etiological importance is not always clear and in each case will be found to depend on individual, often idiosyncratic, vulnerability, i.e. the life events are neither necessary nor sufficient to explain the occurrence and form of the disorder. In contrast, the disorders brought together here are thought to arise always as a direct consequence of acute severe stress or continued trauma. The proposed legislation also features new language to clarify several key points. In particular, the legislation would not automatically apply to first nations that are signatories to self-government agreements; regulations would not include the power to allocate water supplies or license users of water for any purpose other than for accessing drinking water; regulations on source water protection on first nation lands would be restricted so as to protect it from contamination; only the powers necessary to effectively regulate drinking water and waste water systems would be conferred on any person or body; and first nations would not be held liable for systems owned by third parties that are on first nations lands.

[7] In case 241/05 the European Court of Justice ruled that Article 20(1) of the Convention implementing the Schengen Agreement is to be interpreted as meaning that the term ‘first entry’ in that provision refers, besides the very first entry into the territories of the Contracting States to that agreement, to the first entry into those territories taking place after the expiry of a period of six months from that very first entry and also to any other first entry taking place after the expiry of any new period of six months following an earlier date of first entry.

LE CONSEIL DES COMMUNAUTÉS EUROPÉENNES, vu le traité instituant la Communauté économique européenne, vu l'acte d'adhésion de l'Espagne et du Portugal, et notamment son article 396, vu la proposition de la Commission, considérant que, en raison de l'adhésion des États précités, il y a lieu d'adapter le règlement (CEE) n° 357/79 (1), modifié en dernier lieu par le règlement (CEE) n° 3768/85 (2); considérant que cette adaptation doit définir les dates des premières enquêtes à réaliser par les nouveaux États membres, afin de disposer le plus rapidement possible de données permettant d'apprécier l'état du marché viti-vinicole; considérant qu'il est opportun de prévoir une contribution financière de la Communauté aux dépenses encourues par les nouveaux États membres dans le cadre de la première enquête de base prévue dans le règlement (CEE) n° 357/79; considérant que les résultats des enquêtes intermédiaires prévues dans ledit règlement doivent être disponibles pour les nouveaux États membres de manière à permettre d'apprécier la situation du marché viti-vinicole; considérant que le royaume d'Espagne s'est engagé, au cours des négociations d'adhésion, à réaliser la première enquête de base l'année suivant l'adhésion; que la République portugaise réalisera une enquête viticole en 1987 et la première enquête de base en 1989, A ARRÊTÉ LE PRÉSENT RÈGLEMENT:

The Member States shall provide that cereal seed produced directly from basic seed or from certified seed of the first generation certified in one Member State and harvested in another Member State or in a third country is to be regarded as equivalent to certified seed or to certified seed of the first or second generation if that seed has been harvested in the State which produced either the basic seed or the certified seed of the first generation, if it has undergone field inspection satisfying the conditions laid down in Annex I and if official examination has shown that the conditions laid down in Annex II for certified seed or certified seed of the first or second generation are satisfied.
Les États membres prescrivent que les semences de céréales provenant directement de semences de base certifiées dans un État membre ou de semences certifiées de la première reproduction et récoltées dans un autre État membre ou dans un pays tiers, sont équivalentes aux semences certifiées ou aux semences certifiées de la première ou de la deuxième reproduction, à condition que ces semences aient été récoltées dans l'État producteur soit des semences de base soit des semences certifiées de la première reproduction, et qu'elles aient été soumises sur leur champ de production à une inspection sur pied satisfaisant aux conditions prévues à l'annexe I et s'il a été constaté, lors d'un examen officiel, que les conditions prévues à l'annexe II pour les semences certifiées ou les semences certifiées de la première ou de la deuxième reproduction ont été respectées.
