In 2005, the following violations of human rights were reported: disregard of the right to privacy, especially when listening to private conversations or publicising pre-trial investigation material; the intrusion of politics into the work of law enforcement and the courts; lack of independence in pre-trial investigations and prosecution; violation of the right to a fair trial; the inhuman and brutal behaviour of police officers; discrimination, racism, trafficking in women, and so on.
En 2005, les violations des droits de l’homme suivantes ont été enregistrées: mépris du droit à la vie privée, principalement dans le cas d’écoutes de conversations privées ou de la publication de documents d’enquête préalablement à un procès; intrusion de la politique dans l’application de la loi et au sein des tribunaux; manque d’indépendance dans les enquêtes et poursuites judiciaires préalablement au procès; violation du droit à un procès équitable; comportement brutal et inhumain des forces de police; discrimination, racisme, traite des femmes, etc.
