3. Calls on the Commission to engage with the customs and other competent authorities of third countries which constitute major export markets with the objective of reducing the use in connection with EU-manufactured or assembled products of overly stringent or unnecessary inspection procedures, such as the US requirement for 100% scanning of cargo containers, which act as a non-tariff and hidden barrier to trade;
3. invite la Commission à nouer un dialogue avec les douanes et les autres autorités compétentes des pays tiers qui constituent de grands marchés d'exportation afin de réduire, envers les produits fabriqués ou assemblés dans l'Union, l'application de procédures d'inspection excessivement strictes ou inutiles, comme l'obligation de contrôler 100 % des conteneurs de marchandises par scanner aux États-Unis, qui constituent un obstacle non tarifaire et invisible aux échanges;
