Nous avons, l'opposition officielle aussi, démasqué une opération médiatique qui visait à faire passer ce budget pour l'amorce d'un nouveau fédéralisme, alors qu'il s'agit en fait de refiler les factures aux provinces, tout en conservant les pouvoirs de décision dans les mains du gouvernement fédéral (1705) Après avoir dépensé sans vergogne dans les champs de juridiction des provinces, le gouvernement fédéral conserve toute son arrogance en annonçant qu'il conservera les impôts, qu'il ne paiera plus les factures et qu'il imposera aux provinces de faire les coupures nécessaires pour rétablir la situation des finances publiques.
