Dans ses conclusions du 6 décembre 2007, le Conseil a appelé les États membres à collaborer à la mise en place d’activités destinées à la reformulation des denrées alimentaires dans le but de réduire les teneurs en sel, graisses saturées, acides gras trans et sucres ajoutés et la densité énergétique au vu du rôle que jouent ces éléments dans le développement de maladies chroniques et l’apparition du surpoids et de l’obésité.


In its opinion adopted on 6 July 2005 (2), the Authority concludes that omega-3 fatty acids, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and unsaturated fat have important roles in the diet. Some unsaturated fats such as omega-3 fatty acids are sometimes consumed at a level lower than recommended. Therefore, nutrition claims identifying foods being source of these nutrients, or being rich in these nutrients could help consumers to make healthier choices.

Prior to the adoption of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, the Commission asked the opinion of the Authority on nutrition claims and their conditions of use concerning omega-3 fatty acids, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and unsaturated fat.

Avant l’adoption du règlement (CE) no 1924/2006, la Commission a demandé l’avis de l’Autorité au sujet des allégations nutritionnelles concernant les acides gras oméga-3, les graisses monoinsaturées, polyinsaturées et insaturées et des conditions de leur utilisation.
