This Joint Report is intended to complement the Joint Employment Report and the Implementation report of the BEPG so as to present a balanced and integrated view of the main challenges Member States have to tackle if they want to reach the ambitious Lisbon goals.

As stated in the Key Messages to the 2014 Joint Employment Report: “The impact of the crisis has also translated to a growing divergence between Member States' employment and social situations, particularly in the euro zone, as this Joint Employment Report and its new scoreboard of key employment and social indicators illustrate.
Dans les messages clés du rapport conjoint sur l’emploi de 2014, il est d’ailleurs indiqué que «les effets de la crise se sont aussi traduits par des différences grandissantes entre les différents États membres, particulièrement au sein de la zone euro, pour ce qui est de la situation de l’emploi et de la situation sociale, comme le montrent le présent rapport conjoint sur l’emploi et son nouveau tableau de bord d’indicateurs clés en matière sociale et d’emploi.

Joint implementation approaches include division of labour based on sector mapping; joint analysis, appraisal and sector response; aid modalities (budget support, pooled funding, delegated cooperation, and trust funds); and joint monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems.
