TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

– gezien de vraag aan de Commissie over de "Aanzienlijke verhoging van de Noorse douanerechten op landbouwproducten" (O-000048/2013 – B7‑0210/2013),
– having regard to the question to the Commission on the ‘Significant increase in Norwegian duties on agricultural products’ (O-000048/2013 – B7‑0210/2013),

10. spreekt zich ten aanzien van de in het kader van de WTO overeengekomen verregaande vermindering van de douanerechten voor landbouwproducten ervoor uit om markttoegang te bestempelen als voorzorgsmaatregel waarmee economische, ecologische en sociale dumping kan worden verhinderd; vindt invoerheffingen op landbouwproducten nog steeds gerechtvaardigd als de producten worden voortgebracht onder voorwaarden die in strijd zijn met de mensenrechten en de internationale overeenkomsten en Europese wetgeving ter bescherming van dier en milieu; stelt voor om deze invoerheffingen in te voeren met het oog op de voedselzekerheid en de verhindering van crises in de getroffen ontwikkelingslanden;
10. In the face of the far-reaching removal of duties on agricultural products agreed within the framework of the WTO, is in favour of defining the conditions for market access, as a preventive measure, to prevent economic, ecological and social dumping; considers that levies on agricultural imports remain justified where products are produced under conditions which breach human rights and international agreements and European legislation on protection of the environment and protection of animals; proposes that the proceeds of such levies be channelled into improving food security and averting crises in developing countries affected;

(3) Council Regulation (EC) No 6/2000 of 17 December 1999 concerning the arrangements applicable to imports into the Community of products originating in the Republics of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and to imports of wine originating in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Slovenia(1) offers for certain industrial products exemption from customs duties within the limit of tariff ceilings and limited concessions are made for agricultural goods, many of them in form of exemption from duties within the limit of tariff quotas.
