These four graduates of the University of Manitoba have successfully designed, built and now commercialized a 10 gigaflop supercomputer that is being sold in Japan, Korea, India, China and the U.K. What is remarkable is that this supercomputer is being built not in the Silicon Valley, not in Tokyo, nor in Seoul, but at 1619 Pembina Highway in the heart of my constituency of Winnipeg South.
Ces quatre diplômés de l'Université du Manitoba ont réussi à concevoir, à construire et à commercialiser un supercalculateur atteignant les dix gigaflops qui est actuellement vendu au Japon, en Corée, en Inde, en Chine et au Royaume-Uni. Ce qui est remarquable, c'est que ce supercalculateur n'est fabriqué ni à Silicon Valley, ni à Tokyo, ni à Séoul, mais bien au 1619 de la route Pembina, au coeur même de la circonscription de Winnipeg-Sud que je représente.
